Nvidia 6800 Ultra

Yes, I know this is an old card/s, but i have ran into the same issue, which i am about to explain with an EVGA gtx 550 ti! I have two 6800 ultra cards and one gtx 550 ti, both with the latest drivers. I have one 6800 ultra by BFG and the other by Nvidia! The issue I am having (just testing old hardware before i sell it) is when i install the BFG 6800 Ultra or the Nvidia 6800 Ultra, the computer grinds to a snail's pace when booting up, and i'm booting from a SSD.

 

I timed it, from the windows logo screen to the desktop, it actually takes 6 minutes and 37-38 seconds, using either of the ultra cards. I have tried these cards in 3 different PCI-e motherboards and the same problem occurs. when i finally do get into windows, any application that activates the 3D functions of the cards results in the computer re-booting. If you open GPU-Z, any game, nvidia control panel, or try to change the resolution, same problem: computer re-boots. The odd thing is, the evga gtx 550 ti is doing exactly the same thing, but it takes 4 mins and 23-25 seconds. I have 37 different PCI-e video cards and these three are the only ones that create this problem! What could be the problem? Thank you!

BFG & Nvidia 6800 Ultra, and evga gtx 550 ti

 

interesting thing about this one ^ is it doesn't re-boot, it just goes quickly to a BSOD then shuts down completley
