Hi,

I got a spares or repairs asus laptop. I got it switched on new hard drive in all fine internals wise. But now when i try install windows 10 it takes for ever then it reboots and goes blank. After that i switch it on and off it says getting ready 80% then reboots and then says windows didn't install correctly and asks me to inset the media reboot and reinstall windows. I'm out of ideas. Also there is no logo when using uefi.

Forgot to add the fan runs at 100% all the time.

Thanks in Advanced for any Reply's.

I'm not sure but if think that if you're running legacy bios, you need to enable some kind of compatibility mode in order to run a boot device..

It's in the bios but I'm not sure how it's called..

Asus laptops usually run that kind of bios.. but if that isn't the case, I'm out of ideas

I know about the bios thingy because I clean installed windows and had to enable that in order for it to detect the boot device..
