Rebuilding very old computer

Dear Forums

I was thinking about turning my HP Pavilion A230 UK 80GB TOW 512MB Desktop PC into a gaming PC but I don’t know what to buy, what will fit and I only have a budget of £300. If you could advise on what to buy that would be really cool.

Thanks,

Anthillion

Just checking before I suggest anything:

  1. Is it the full complete original system you are thinking of transforming?
  2. What are the specs of your machine (for compatibility)(like RAM type and current CPU, etc)?
  3. What games are you planning on playing?

It's over the budget, but you didn't specify any games :S

You could maybe downscale the Video card a bit, but you wouldn't want to go much lower that that, but that is probably near perfect for the case and I was going to surgest half of those parts anyway. Good job @79 Potatoes.
