Hello Everyone

Hope too get some help here....
For the first time i decided do build my new PC by myself, everything worked quiet well i would say, until the backplate that i should mount on the back of my Motherboard (Asus Maximus IX Formula) for the AIO Liquid Cooler.
When i screwed the backplate on the Motherboard it still can be moved around back and forth is this normal?

Regards

Some have play, some don't. Attach the aio, if it still moves then you have an issue.

I was browsing YT,Forums etc. and seems like the CLC is either to new or no one uses this AIO. So i was looking at other AIO from Corsair for example and on YT many people have the same issue and they use washers etc. and say that the Temps gotten better after they fixed the Backplate with washers.

When i installed the AIO i couldnt move it anymore so thats good i guess.
But still i am not sure if i should buy washers aswell now.
I cant test it sadly i am waiting for my new Mobo.
And the main reason why i am so carefull and maybe ask too many questions is that i spent quiet a lot of money for the rig and i dont want it to break only bc of a backplate.

Thank you@Mick Naughty for ur reply appreciate it.

On my h100i I did install the washers. You have enough tread to do so and it's cheap insurance. It was the old version h100i or version 1 if you want to call it that.

No harm but if its tight and making contact and working then there isn't a need but it cant hurt.

That was the issue with the h100's they wouldn't make full contact so you had to do it or return it.

Ok thank you.
But still i dont understand how this is possible 1150 socket isnt a brand new thing and they still cant include washers or whatever in the package when u buy it.
I dont know 100% if it works without the washers i guess i can give a feedback tomorrow when i have the new Mobo.
Thx for the replys Mick.
