Wattage to high?

Is my wattage to high for a overclocked rx 480 ? its 265 watts on gpu-z

 

other question is how can it be pulling 265 watts if a 8 pin allows 150w and the pci-e slot only allows 75w?

Probably unless that's fully system wattage. My system only pulls about 350W with an overclocked RX480 and FX6300 going at full bore.

1) GPU-Z is not a precise way of computing Power Draw. 

2) 480's don't comply the PCI regulations. They draw more from the Motherboard PCI slot and probably more from the 8pin. 

 

Should you worry? No. 

 

Worry about temperatures, or instability if any.
