Boot configuration Data is missing

BillyDoz

I'm trying to reinstall windows 8.1 and every time I try to load the disk I get this message. This started happening after i changed some settings around in refi or legacy boot. I don't know that much about what all that means. Anyone have any idea how to fix this and what my settings should be set to? Thanks

I seem to only have a problem trying to install windows 8.1. When I tried windows 10 it worked. I only wanted 8.1 because it was Alienware's version. Guess Ill stick with windows 10, Thanks

You don't have to use the Alienware version of Windows. Just download the Windows 8.1 ISO from online.
