Was lurking local listings and came across this potential gem:

147702059_1_1000x700_powerbook-g4-inca-u

PowerBook G4 lot which contains one fully functional PB G4 with original charger and a second G4 for parts, all for the interesting price of $75 delivered.

While I'm quite outspoken against Apple in general, I have openly admitted to liking their design choices, at least when it comes to their older products.

Before someone comes in yelling that it's old and crap, I KNOW. It's ancient by modern standards, but what it is is a piece of vintage computing. I don't expect this to even work with anything remotely modern (application-wise) but I do want to be able to say that I have an Apple product in my collection. The fact that it comes with the original charger, alongside its working state, make it a tempting purchase. Having spare parts in the same lot makes it even more tempting.

The listing, unfortunately, does not contain more info as to the actual vintage or specs (it's mostly blurry photos since people don't know how to use a camera properly).

Looking to the overmind for hints and tips regarding what to look for/at before buying as I could put that $75 to better use, rather than getting something I can't even play with because of some crippling defect.

The other thing I want some info on is what to expect from it. Again, I know the performance is less than that of my phone (and my phone is pretty low-specc'd) and that most apps won't run on it. I still want to mess around with it

While I'm not a user of the old PB machines, I can offer this advice:

Look for a legit apple charger (appears to be a legit one there)

Look out for dings and nicks. Many are utterly trashed now.

If possible, ask for an about this Mac window. It will at least tell you what is inside.

Model numbers are useful (EveryMac is so helpful here!). Ask for it. Look at the bottom of the machine, near the hinge or in the battery bay. That is where they generally are.

Remember, its PowerPC, not x86!

well aware of the architecture.

Considering the lot contents, the pictures on the listing and the lack of info, I am tempted to assume that the seller doesn't really know what he's selling. I will ask for a picture of all serial numbers on the laptop so I can research it further (everymac is good, but I have access to something better thanks to my workplace).

I forgot to mention that I expect the battery to be dead.

Other photos in the listing:

I know it works, at least.

Looks pretty good, couple of scratches don't bother me and the charger looks legit
