additional 660 vs 8350

Hi everyone I have a phenom II x4 and a gtx 660, which would help in game more, another 660 or an 8350? I have a crosshair v formula, 8gb of ram a 900w modular psu, a coolermaster hyper n 512 (so I can overclock), and a 1.5tb hd. Thanks for the help in advance!

For overall performance i think the upgrade to FX-8350 from a phenom X4 would be a pretty huge. I also prefer a single powerful GPU rather than crossfire/SLI because as you probably know two video cards does not equal twice the performance. If at some point down the road your PC is struggling with games you can just sell your 660 and buy a next gen video card.

Note: Is there any specific game that your computer can't handle or do you want to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading?

I wanted to upgrade because when i watch the benches linus does he gets around 46 fps in crysis 3 on the highest setting but on my computer i get around 30 on high settings.

Linus overclocks the CPU and GPU so take that into account.

Yea, What Tarkein said. I would pickup the 8350 and overclock it along with your video card you would notice a huge improvement.

I would say get an 8350 and overclock it.

then later on sell that 660 and get a 670/680/79XX card

Ok thanks for all the help ill be buying an 8350 and btw i have the evga superclocked 660 which has an added 79mhz to the core clock then i add another 25mhz to that so it is overclocked and the processor runs at 3.6ghz usually.

I'd say overclock your CPU, then sell your 660 and buy a 7950 or something like that.
