Hello, its been a while since i posted but wanted to ask if  you I can upgrade my laptop. I have one of those protections plans for 4 years and would like to upgrade to a ssd as il be travailing a lot more with it. but i dont want to void the plan. would you give me some advice

Check the conditions on the plan to make sure it won't void your warranty or anything when you upgrade.

Best to ask the people you bought it from, in this case PC world. You can phone them up to see if it voiding your warranty.
