About BBCode
 
Bulletin Board Code or BBCode is a lightweight markup language used to format posts in many message boards or websites. The available tags are usually indicated by square brackets surrounding a keyword, and they are parsed by the message board system before being translated into a markup language that web bdrowsersc understand.DC.
 
 
BBCode tags
 
Bold
Description: Makes the enclosed text bold.
Example: This is bold text.
Result: This is bold text.
 
Italic
Description: Makes the enclosed text italic.
Example: This is italic text.
Result: This is italic text.
 
Underline
Description: Makes the enclosed text underlined.
Example: This is underlined text.
Result: This is underlined text.
 
Strikethrough
Description: Makes the enclosed text strikethrough.
Example: This is strikethrough text.
Result: This is strikethrough text.
 
Align
Description: Makes the enclosed text aligned to that side.
Example: [align=center]This is centered text.[/align]
Examples of available options: left right center
Result:
This is centered text.
 
 
Color (alt. 1)
Description: Changes the color of the enclosed text.
Example: This is red text.
Result: This is red text.
Note: [colour=red]This is red text.[/colour] also works.
Remarks: What colors are valid depends on the browser. If you use the basic colors (red, green, blue, yellow etc) you should be safe.
 
Color (alt. 2)
Description: Changes the color of the enclosed text.
Example: This is blue text.
Result: This is blue text.
Remarks: RGB must be a six digit hexadecimal number.
 
Size (alt. 1)
Description: Sets the size of the enclosed text.
Example: This is size 4.
Result: This is size 4.
Remarks: n must be an integer in the range 1 (smallest) to 7 (biggest).
The default size is 2.
 
Size (alt. 2)
Description: Creates headers and subheaders, such as at the top of this document.
Example: ===This is a subheader.===
Result: This is a subheader.
Remarks: The number of equals signs range from 2 (largest, header) to 4 (smallest, subsubheader) on each side of the text.
 
Hyperlink (alt. 1)
Description: Inserts a hyperlink.
Remarks: This tag is superfluous; all URLs are automatically hyperlinked.
 
Hyperlink (alt. 2)
Description: Inserts a hyperlink.
Example: google
Result: google
Remarks: You do not have to use this tag unless you want to set the link text; all URLs are automatically hyperlinked.
 
On-site URLs will be automatically shortened.
 
Image (alt. 1)
Description: Inserts a picture.
Example: t364o8.jpg
Remarks: The URL must end with .gif, .jpg or .png.
 
Quote (alt. 1)
Description: Inserts a quote.
Example:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Result:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
 
 
Quote (alt. 2)
Description: Inserts a quote.
Example:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Result:
John Doe wrote:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
 
 
List
Description: Inserts a list item.
Example:
[*] This is item 1
[*] This is item 2
Result:
This is item 1
This is item 2
 
 
Preformat
Description: Preformatted (monospace) text. Does not wrap automatically.
Example: [pre]This is preformatted text.[/pre]
Result:
This is preformatted text.
 
 
LaTeX
Description: Alllows the use of Latex formatted text
Example: [tex]LaTeX[/tex]
Result:
 
User
Description: Links to a user profile.
Example: [user]Amareus[/user]
Result: Amareus
 
Triggering
Description: Tag used for not triggering other tags.
Example: [b[n]]Hello[/b]
Result: Hello
Remarks: The tag can be used anywhere inside another tag.
 
Wiki pages
Description: Tag used to link to wiki pages.
Example: [[bbcode]]
Result: bbcode
 
 
Video (alt. 1)
Description: Inserts a picture.
Example: [video=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ]
Remarks: The URL must be a valid youtube link
 
Video (alt. 2)
Description: Inserts a picture.
Example: [video]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgTYSsaNU_A]
Remarks: The URL must be a valid youtube link
 
 
Spoiler (alt. 1)
Description: Inserts a spoiler.
Example:
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Description: Inserts a spoiler.
