I already have a 500 gb hard drive lying around, but my parents have a brand new 2 TB hard drive there's no way they will ever need, might try to get them to hand it over. I might also include an SSD for games/windows, because muh speed.

Get one kit of 2 8GB sticks of RAM and try to aim for a 1050Ti.

How about you ditch one 8GB stick and the i3 7100 for a G4560, you will be able to get a RX 470/RX 570 which should beat the 1050 by a big margin.

Get the G4560, it still has 2c/4th and has similar performance to the i3 but is like half the price. spend the savings on a rx570/ gtx 1050ti

Why not get the G4560? Sacrifice 200mhz clock speed while paying half the price of i3 7100

 

Get better GPU like RX 470/570/480/580
