Hello everybody. I read an article on PhoneArena about google releasing assistant sdk to developers... So my question is can custom rom/ Third party app developers use that SDK to get assistant support for their product.

I wonder because i use older devices (MM based moto 360 and G2 with custom rom but assistant is buggy for me maybe that good new SDK might help ?)

Google Assistant and Google Assistant SDKs are for Android 7 or newer.

It's not compatible with Android 6.0. You need to have Android 7.0 or 7.1 to be able to use Google Assistant and the Assistant SDK.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

Oh rip. It might be available on 6.0 + but don't expect any kind of stability or performance.

If you had a newer phone running 7.0 then you might not have perf issues. Your phone is incapable of running 7.0 due to it running a 32 Bit CPU.

Well incapable to run isn't exactly the right term here. That is what LG says that phone was not eligible for 6.0 but now running custom 7.1.1 and it's running 10 times better faster and smoother than its original firmware. I don't believe  every new phone beside flagships will come with a 64bit cpu
