I just purchased a laptop, and upon booting it up, when I hover but leave my finger on the trackpad it always auto clicks. Sometimes even if I move the mouse pointer around. I have checked the ease of access centre and the "activate a window by hovering" option is already deactivated. I have also scoured the settings for the ELAN trackpad driver and disabled tap to click. I have also tried Reinstalling drivers, updating, rolling back but every time the issue still remains. I have a feeling it may be due to the touch screen... Any help is greatly appreciated as I am stuck beyond stuck. Thanks in advance.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

Well it seems like you tried most things, perhaps it is something to do with the actual trackpad (inside the laptop).
