Hello,

I have a pc with this specs:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1225 (3.10Mhz, not overclocked)

GPU: AMD FirePro V5900 (ATI FireGL)

Memory: 2x2GB PC3-10700 DDR3 (1333Mhz) CL9 (Brand: Hynix)

Motherboard: HP 1587h

My problem is that i now have 2x2gb memory and bought another set of 2x2gb memory (https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Computers-Accessories/Corsair-CMV4GX3M2A1333C9-Value-Select-Mainstream-Desktop-Memory/B002TISFCG).

When i had put the new memory in, the pc didn't give any screen and wouldn't boot at all. It would give 5 beeps. I looked for what 5 beeps mean but i don't think it is a CPU problem (maybe you think different). By the way, before i had put the new ram in, it would boot up fine.

I already searched for what could be the problem but didn't find anything what would link to my kind of problem.

I hope someone can help me.

Sometimes ram doesn't like to play nice with other ram. Most of the time when you upgrade your ram you want to buy a whole kit rather than just add some in to avoid problems like these. Ram kits are specifically made to work with each other. Try putting just the new ram in and removing the old ram and see if the system posts.

I already removed the old ram and put the new ram in and it posts fine. I think it's just the compatibilty you were saying.
