Help! technical error

i was ending some ram processes on my dads computer and i accidentally closed a file named explorer(something).(something

and now its just showing the background and when i restart it it just gives me a black screen

If it has windows or microsoft DON'T TOUCH. and does your dad have a backup for his pc?
