Op would be better off sticking w/ the stock cooler, since it'd be pure asthetics at that point.

@deXxterlab97 how is that HDD, I swear I saw you comment on it before.

Also, that Corsair CX450M should be $30 on Newegg as the lowest price..

He can stick with the stock cooler if he wants, but he was specifically looking for an aftermarket cooler, which is why I mentioned he could still do so and remain within budget. Aftermarket coolers aren't purely for aesthetics at all. A cheap aftermarket cooler will still improve temperatures, whether overclocking or not. Also, noise reduction. Stock Intel coolers can get pretty damn loud. The CX450M is $30 on Newegg, after a $20 rebate though. It still costs $50 from Newegg.

Fair enough for the cooler.

That's wierd since PCPP factors in MIRs into the recommended sites, unless you switched them off =p

I think an aftermarket cooler is a must for every system tbh. I swear against Intel's stock coolers. That being said, I typically recommend using stock cooler at first and then adding an aftermarket cooler at a later date since it's easy enough to do so, and gives an extra $20-30 towards the budget for something better, like maybe a better GPU or something.

Yeah, I turned MIRs off for PCPP because most people don't tend to bother with them from what I've seen. The only people I've actually seen bother to follow through with them are bargain hunters that get PSUs for crazy prices, like $10, and their motherboard for $15 or something. Plus, I've seen plenty of people recommend systems that cost, say $700 but have $100 worth of rebates thinking that's going to work for someone who has a $600 budget, which obviously it doesn't since they would have to spend the $700 to get $100 back, and if their budget is $600, they obviously don't have the $700 to spend. So, I just keep 'em off and let the buyers decide themselves if they want to go through with any MIRs that they could potentially get.

Fair enough, I've taken advantage of the 3 MIR's I had for my system, but I can see what your saying.
