Weirdest game bug?

So I'm playing Deus EX HR on my PC with a 3570K @ 4.4Ghz, GTX 970 @ 1500Mhz, 16GB of ram @ 2200mhz and at 4K DSR with G-Sync and when I get the camera really close to walls or boxes my fps goes from well above 60 to maybe 25 and it gets slower the closer I get. I don't know if it's a combination of my setup or a game bug but it's the weirdest thing i've ever seen.
