so i wanna buy new hdd because my old file one is dying slowly (80gb old samsung from 2007 :D) sometimes he turns on and works fine but sometimes when i wake up pc from sleep he dosent work and my pc starts to lag, decided to buy 1tb because i dont need more. but seeing that hdd is dying, started to think if my main wont die too (500gb wd blue from 2013) i have win 10 pro oem and if it dies i  fuked. and the question is if i buy 1tb hdd and split in 2 diffrent hdds can i clone both of my hdds and still use all 3 of them or i cant clone 2 diffrent hdd on one? and if i can wont it fuck up my boot because i will have 2 win installs? or i shoud make for my c drive an iso file better?

Cloning is an option, but a clean install is always the best choice.

 

If your 2013 drive still seems fine.. You're good.

You can test it with Crystal Drive test or Windows own one if you want to make sure.

 

My recommendation is keeping your 500GB drive for OS and making your 1TB a storage/game drive for faster loadtimes.

Have you already bought the 1TB drive? If not I recommend getting an SSD instead, installing Windows on that one to make your 500GB the storage drive.

havent bought but i dont go for speed just storage mainly

Make two partitions on the new disk.

Copy all of the location where you install the programs

And 

Copy all files to second position on the new disk.

Clean install windows in the first partition.

This is better than cloning because a clean install will make windows very fast.

But if you clone you will feel like nothing happened (except faster speeds).
