OBS Studio

Go to solution Solved by McHox,

what gpu? if nvidia just use shadowplay m8

So is recently was looking for a software that would record my CS go gameplay when I wanted it to and that would record on screen constantly i'd only save the x amount of timethat was pre recorded  I wanted to when I would press a button. I found MSI afterburner is able to do this but unfortunately there's a lot of bugs and glitches here and there and the amount of space that it takes or 1080p 60 frames recording is immense. I've been using OBS studio for a while and it's been great for me but the only problem with it is that I have to record an entire game and just pick out the good parts of it which is really long and tedious. So what I'm asking of you guys is if you know anything about OBS to do that can either constantly record and do the same thing that MSI afterburner would do and save the last one minute for example of a gameplay? Or is there a way that I can organize or bookmark the timeline for a highlight of recording the video. I did also noticed that OBS Studio has a replay buffer hokey and I was just wondering what that does?

PS I know there are a lot of questions but I'm just asking what can I do to easily record csgo and edit it later in my sony Vegas program more easily

My PC is a fast boyo:

6700K - 32GB - 1080 - 256GB EVO

^^You don't need more info than this right?^^

It's called replay buffer in OBS as well as sjadpwplay. If you have nvidia's gpu use shadowppay. It's in your driver software.

For OBS, it's somewhere.. i think in output or video basic mode at the bottom. Choose how many seconds and an amount of ram memory to use that time. OBS will not record more than the selected time BUT if you don't give enough memory it won't remember that amount of time, only what will fit in the memory.
