Yes if you want. The cable on the h100i only tells the mobo how fast it's going. So you can connect it to any header. I connected my fans to the h100i. Then the pump to the CPU header. As you will have to use the USB dongle to control them via the software.

Thanx man, am going to make that change.

I have an Gigabyte z270 k3 as motherboard. Am using a corsair h100iv2 cooler. In this mobo, there is 2 fan header, 1 cpu fan header, 1 cpu opt fan header, 1 fan pump. My current configuration is h100iv2 to pump header with the radiator fans connected to it as well, 1 fan header for rear fan, 1 fan header for Geil Evo x(ram) and 1 top fan to CPU cooler. But the H100iv2 should be connected to the cpu fan header or can i leave it this way. And also can i put the Geil Evo x into CPU Opt.

I have my H100i fans connected directly to the mobo fan controllers since those are hardwired to the CPU temps and do not rely on the corsair link software to spin up when the CPU starts working harder.

It's not connecting to the pump, it's just telling you're board that's it's moving. So you can connect it to the CPU fan and the fans or hum to the CPU opt header.

Doesnt really matter where you put anything unless you prefer to get the warnings that the pump quit working.

ANd about the ram Geil evo x for led can i put in the cpu opt ?

One thing I noticed about my CPU opt header is that it always runs faster then the CPU header. As in if my CPU fan/pump was at 800rpm the opt is almost double. So I'm not sure if that's somtjing you want or can just use another header.
