Hey guys,

I want to have a script in Gimp, that automaticalle does:

  • resize the selected (other ways if needed too) picture to 0,75*the height of the whole gimp project (lets say pic1 is 1920*1080 I would want it to resize pic2 to 810)
  • align it center

Preferably no external plugins, script-fu should be able to do this.

If the Programming Forum fits this better I'm sorry.

sincerely schmidti

Save it picture, open free software and open picture and try to resize what you want

U completely misunderstood the application of a script.

This is not single image resizing request. OP wants to resize probably 100+ of them without having to do the same thing 100 times himself.

PS. I didnt know scripts exist for Gimp. It sounds amazing.

Hm maybe there was some misunderstanding.

What I'm trying to achieve: Custom Backgrounds (got 91 so far o.O) to cycle through on my Desctop.

Those backgrounds consist of 2 pictures with sometimes some more layers in the end.

The picture on top hast to be 0,75*the heigth from the project picture size.

This way I can have many Backgrounds, and when I cycle through them (filling mode) the layer on top (0,75) has a consistent height and width. So the only thing that seems to change is the picture behind that.

I understand what you talking about. You could make 10000000000 picture to resize everything.

Just select all pictures and make a setting that you want to resize, watermarks, save to, etc.

Just try to use FastStone Resizer software and you will understand how it is working.
