I'd say that 1200$ for 1440p on ultra settings, 60fps with monitor won't be enough.

My build is a more balanced build.  Also, you get an SSD, 1TB HDD, and 16GB of RAM compared to the other build with 8GB and 320GB HDD.

Adding ram is eazy later, HDD vs SSD is only faster loading in game,

 

Eazy to add 8 gb later and an SSD,

 

The HDD and 7700 + gtx 1080 will do way better in games
