I've upgraded the case on an older system and the system isn't posting, It turns on, and the CPU fan spins to maximum speed. The pc doesn't post, or give any beeps, or even turn on the monitor. Any suggestions? The case should be fine as I removed it from my current system and got a better one.

Sounds like it could be a issue with how you set up the PSU, make sure all the connections are correct

and you have the correct things plugged in, I've ran into this issue when building my PC, and forgot to

plug one small thing in, and my PC wouldn't boot up at all, to protect itself for short circuits

It could also be the case that could be causing the motherboard to short out.

I would just check everything again, make sure you have plugged in all the required PSU cables and check to make sure the motherboard isn't shorting out on the case.
