Hi,

I'm installing TWRP recorevy by following this post.

My phone is rooted via odin and that is verified by root checker.

Step 12. got me all confused frown.gif So i'm planning to install custom rom in future (This one ) and should I allow system modification? I dont really care about KNOX, data and all that kind stuff. I just want to have ability to make backups using TWRP and install roms/mods.

My phone is Samsung s6 edge plus.

Cheers.

Yes, you need to allow that, otherwise you can't install the ROM.

Yeah okay, but what is this warning "By swiping right, you will trigger dm-verity, and if you don't follow step 12 you will be unable to boot!" about? I have only rooted HTC phones and I have no idea what is "dm-verity".

Dm-verity is an Android thing introduced in Android 4.4. https://source.android.com/security/verifiedboot/

Its simple all you need to do is to transfer the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip through MTP or adb sideload if your storage is encrytped.

now how to do that?

1.If u want to do it via MTP just turn on your phone like u normally does plug the phone into your computer via usb cable change the usb option to transfer/usb storage (MTP) and transfer the no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip  to your storage and install it via twrp thats it.

2.ADB sideload

First u need to turn on the USB DEBUGGING in your phone

In the TWRP find adb sideload but you will need to install adb & fastboot driver to your pc Download and do this

http://www.droidviews.com/push-pull-files-android-using-adb-commands/

Thank you.

So just to clarify if I choose to do it via MTP. First thing i want to to install no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip throught twrp and then allow system modifications?
