So I took apart my old laptop for fun and to salvage some parts because why not right? (It had a hard drive issue that I fixed after I past the point of no return on the disassembly. yes I now regret it but oh well). As long as the socket is the same on the mobo it will work, right?

Since I have a few of the pieces laying around why not try and build the rest for cheap? I have the CPU, soon a PSU, and an HDD. So I just need a MOBO, RAM(I'm thinking 8-12gb), CPU cooler. And maybe a GPU, and maybe a case. I would like to have the case as small as possible so I may build my own. Also I would like to have an SSD for windows if it fits in the budget.

This pc would be used for very light gaming, web browsing, and streaming video (Netflix, YouTube, etc).

My budget would ideally be below $200 USD. But I might be willing to do $250. (Budget is for the parts I do not have. CPU, PSU, HDD are $0. Also exclude OS from budget)

here is what I was thinking:

CPU: AMD A4-3300 2.5ghz Dual-core (have from laptop)

Cooler: Arctic Alpine 64 GT 25.6 CFM

MOBO: ECS A55F-M1 micro ATX FM1

RAM: Crucial 8gb (1x8gb) DDR3-1600

GPU: EVGA GeForce 8400 GS 1gb

PSU: EVGA 500w 80+ Certified ATX (have from pc)

HDD: WD 250gb (have from laptop)

Case: Xion XON-350 BK ATX mid tower

What does the internet think??? Any suggestions????

Thank you!
