Windows 10 Media Creation Tool

Go to solution Solved by MasterChromatica,

Just use Windows 10, it bundles regular Windows 10 Home and Pro together, after that select the Pro OS and you're set.

Hey guys!

I just bought a Windows 10 PRO key from a website. And downloaded the windows 10 media creation tool, but when it gives me te choice to select which version of windows do I wish to download on my USB, it only says "Windows 10", "Windows 10 Home Single Language" and "Windows 10 N".

Which one should I use to install Windows 10 PRO?

Thanks!

I think in this case you have to fully wipe the drive, so I would try and deleting each individual partition, then creating a new partition, but before you hit create make the drive exactly 1 Kilobyte in size smaller, as in when the drive storage shows up in blue with up and down arrows hit the down arrow once. This should in theory fix your issue.

Thanks for your answer. But apparently the problem goes deeper. It doesn't even let me select a device to store the files. It just says (you don't have enough space on C: (which is my boot SSD)) What's happening?

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here.

You downloaded the Media Creation Tool to your SSD, right?

And you have a USB flash drive plugged in that is at least 4GB?

How much free space do you have on your C:\ drive? I think the Media Creation Tool downloads the Windows image to your hard disk before copying it to the USB drive.

Does you mum know you're here?

4GB of free disk space isn't enough, you'll have to delete some stuff.

If you don't know what to delete maybe try running CCleaner, it can be surprising how much clutter it can remove.

If I have a laptop with enough space, can I do it there?

So, I use the option of "Windows 10"? Will there be no problem when I enter a windows 10 pro key?

You enter the key on the system you install Windows on, you can use any system to create the installation media.

Read the original post. The instalation media gives me only those options, and the key I bought was for windows 10 PRO... :(

Btw the disk management doesn't let me format the disk where I'm going to install the OS (maybe because it has an older OS in there)...

How can I format it?

You don't need to, you can format the drive during Windows installation.
