Hi,

For the last 2 moths I have been experiencing random buzzing noises coming from my PC case. I cannot find anything on youtube or google to resolve this problem. I have attached an audio file you can hear the buzz at 4:24 and some where near the end.
Some times it lasts for 2 seconds and some times its barely half a second. Again completely random.

I thought that it was a virus or maybe because a OS reinstall was due. But that did not help,

Currently I am running Win 10 x64

My specs:

AMD FX 8300

PowerColor Radeon R7 370

Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

Kingston HyperX 2x4GB

Cooler Master Elete Power 500W

There is no freezing or stuttering while the PC is in use. Just the random buzz that comes and goes. It can be once per day or once per two weeks.

It's highly unlikely that a virus would do something like that.... Possible, yes, but highly unlikely.

Maybe there's something on your mobo shorting out causing the speaker to buzz? Or maybe it's a hard drive? Do you have one? Make sure to dust and clean your PC, maybe that'll help

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

^ Agreed. Virus is software and buzzing is most likely due some hardware. At what time on that recording we could hear buzzing? I'm not going to spend 10mins to listen you PC which sounds like vacuum cleaner by default. Anyway, I would guess its PSU fan, HDD or some other fan.

Thanks. Thats definetly isn't anything I thought it would be.

Sounds like its coming from PC speaker (the little one) or speakers. And quick google shows that single beep like that means something wrong with RAM. Why it doesn that while in OS, idk.

Either your 3.5mm ports are totally kaput.

Either your GPU is coil whining because of either too much power draw or not enough silicon around the coils of the PCB.

Same goes for the PSU, a vibrating coil making frequencies heard by human ears.

BEST to identify where it's coming from!

HDD can buzz correct, not in your case as your PC doesn't slow down at random times.
