Thanks all for the suggestions,  the pc is kinda for a mix of gaming with some light rendering.  Hoping to possibly be able to do a little recording/streaming. idk if that helps lol.

It does make a difference. An I7 would be a good choice for streaming and rendering. Unfortunately they make a sub 1K budget difficult. You might want to wait a week to see how the Ryzen R5 benchmarks and reviews look once the cpu are released. Provided the cpu meet expectations, one would likely be the optimal choice for the budget and workload.
