I have 770s in Sli, and today i installed a 1000w PSU. My system does "seem" more stable while gaming.

However, i was using a gold rated 650w for a month, and i didn't have a single issue. I completed Batman Origins, and i played Battlefield 4 for 40 hours on it. This was with both the CPU, and both GPU's overclocked.

I guesstimate my system was using around 550w at max load. Give or take 25w. I believe a quality 750w would be more than enough. An 850w would secure headroom for maximum overclocks. :)

Psu calculators for the most part are highly inaccurate. A decent 750 is plenty for a 770 sli.

PSUs like Corsair AX760(i) or AX860(i) should deliver more than enough power for a GTX770 SLI. The top TDP is 250W.

My rig with Haswell i7, GTX Titan, and lots of Corsair fans took about 400W TDP when I put it together in the first place for stress test, to see if all the hardware was good and qulified for water cooling.

You need the 1000+ for maybe a GTX780Ti SLI and for sure for AMD's R9 highend series.
