$1640, a little over. Not bad value however. Keyboard has MX Blues, and mouse is just generally solid.

idk

thanks guys i will look into these builds, but will there be any performance differences if i have a 6th gen cpu with a z270 board. Can i just pick out a z170?

(talking about hemans build)

You can if you want to - it's not required, and the z270 architecture doesn't offer any performance difference or change over Z170, and has some newer features like Optane and stuff to boot.

idk

eh, $5 on eBay for an OEM key and install media

if he's willing to take it, some people can be quite stubborn about buying those cheaper cd-keys.

sure, why not? not much of a difference between the 6700k and 7700k tbh, and you save some bucks going with the 6700k.

and the 1080's, is it bad if go 1070. i probably only play 1080p. i would guess that the 1070 would be enough

for 1080p 60hz even an rx 480/gtx 1060 6gb/r9 fury would be more than enough. for 1080p 144hz a gtx 1080 would help to get 144hz in more demanding games.

but 1070 is in the middle, wouln't be bad right?

for 1080p 60hz it's overkill but it'll work.

a 1440p monitor to better utilise the 1080's horsepower, get OS from reddit for $20-30.
