Hey, So I booted this board with the newest bios running a 1090t in it (Running theme with me)

Seemed okay, nothing is changed in bios other then it trying to boot from something called "2tb infinity" or similar which made it refuse to boot because it wasn't a bootable drive.

I didn't pay much mind, installed a few things, and then it just went dead. No warning, went dead. Booted it back up, all seemed fine, except I'm getting a really high voltage on the 5volt.

Opinions?

If I am correct, that's what your motherboard gets from the PSU. I doubt this is the problem for instability, since a BIOS upgrade should not change the output of your PSU?

DISCLAIMER: these are my toughts on your question. No facts, nor do I claim to be a 100% sure.

Updated with specs. I really need to slow down and post that with the initial posts...

Running a Corsair tx750w PSU. It didn't do this on the Crosshair IV Formula.

I am beginning to suspect this is a Sensor reporting Error with MSI Boards and AMD chipsets. The MSI KRAIT board I have for AM3 is also delivering massively errant reading through HW Monitor: 3.7v on 5V and 13.9 on 12V. 5v rail fluctuates all the way to 4.8v rarely if you try to stress it. Two different Corsair TX PSU's where used, both read exactly the same and tested fine with a Multimeter.

Unsure where to go from here. I had five of us at Freegeek trying to figure it out and We're not sure if it's a sensor error or a Hardware failure in the board. Reluctant to hand these computers off to their future owners with these issues persisting.
