So I am trying to find a good laptop to use for school work and maybe do some light gaming on it.

Which of the below Laptops would you recommend I get ?, because I cant quite figure out which is the better laptop due to all of them having the same price point when some of the laptops have an i3 cpu and others having an i5.

List of Laptops (From a local store) :

Acer Extensa EX2540-54H0

Acer Aspire ES1-572

Dell Vostro 3558

Dell Vostro 3568

Lenovo V110-15ISK

Thank you

Go used.

Get a Thinkpad X230 or T430.

They're about 3-4 years old at this point but they're built like tanks and run very well with an SSD

I can recommend the T430 I have had one for at least 3 years now, mine has a 250GB ssd and 8GB of ram and has never died on me to date.

If your not going to get a used one your better of getting a MAC it hurts to say this because I am a serious PC guy. Macs price to performance is not to bad when you think of it and pared with a windows boot camp it works like a dream. By the time you have found a windows PC that has got the specifications even close to a mac then you can knock them down but for the package you get a good deal.

Are you high?? Macs are horrible value outside of US/UK.

Go with the Acer, i5 > i3 by a big margin for day-to-day

idk

Look at the surface tablets they are the same cost of a mac, but then you could just get a mac because the top spec surface is more than the mac.

here in Australia there is a $850 price delta between a comparatively specced mbp 13" and a surface pro 4

And don't get me fucking started on the MacBook 12" vs the Surface Pro 4..

that fucking thing is $1999 for a Core M3 and 8GB of RAM

idk
