Thing is, the 850 Evo is way out of my budget. It sells for INR 7846 on Amazon, literally double of what I'm looking to spend.

There is a 120GB 750 Evo available, for INR 4200, though. Would you recommend that? I heard it's TLC and basically no different from other drives.

LiteOn is apparently the OEM for Plextor, if that changes anything. I haven't heard of that either, but oh, well.

Also, how about a SanDisk SSD Plus? I have heard about SanDisk a fair bit, their USB drives are good.

What the Hell is INR :P lol speak USD :P

Converted to USD that's over 20 dollars more than what we have to pay.

A 750 would be just fine. Still Samsung. Lots of good reviews. 3 year warranty.

I would personally not purchase LiteOn or ADATA because they're so unpopular.

The WD Green has a 3 year warranty.

I don't have personal experience with SSDs outside of Samsung so I can't really pick just one for you that I highly recommend above all others. I think you can't go wrong with picking one from WD, SanDisk, Samsung, or Corsair. I have Kingston flash drives and love them.

I suggest comparing warranty lengths and not getting anything with less than a 3 year warranty.

Hi. So I read the wonderful which SSD should I buy sticky over here, and I'm pretty sure a SATA 120GB SSD should be sufficient for me, especially cause I already have a 1TB WD Green.

That said, I have four options:

  1.  WD Green 120GB: Costs INR 3900, found a couple of articles that say it's basically a rebranded SanDisk SSD Plus with some differences, but no actual reviews.
  2. Kingston UV400 120GB: Costs INR 4150, UserBenchmark says it's got a much faster 4K random read/write than the WD. But I've heard bad stuff about Kingston SSDs, so I'm not sure here.
  3. LiteOn Mu 2 PH3-CE120: Costs INR 3770, cheapest of the bunch but literally no reviews of it anywhere at all. On UserBenchmark, it won't show up in comparisons but does so in search if you search just for "PH-CE120", outperforms both of the above drives in average benchmarks, but has a ridiculously low sample size, so that mightn't be accurate..?
  4. ADATA Premier Pro SP600: Costs INR 3900, says it's MLC which I've heard is better than TLC (which all others seem to use), but I've literally never heard of ADATA before.

If it helps, I'm buying either on Amazon India or a local vendor (who only has the WD Green but has it cheaper than the Amazon listed price of 4064).

Which one should I buy? Does it even matter that much, or should I just grab the cheapest one (LiteOn)? Thanks.

I always purchase Samsung SSDs. They're King. I recommend a Samsung 850 Evo 250GB. It's nice to have some extra space available for super fast launching of apps & games.

WD just started getting into producing SSDs, so I personally would rather go with a more mature manufacturer. (WD is King for HDDs).

I pretty much never see people discuss LiteOn or ADATA when talking about storage. It's either Samsung, Corsair, Western Digital, or Seagate, for the most part.

INR is Indian Rupee, that's what we pay for stuff with over here. :P Sorry for not bothering to convert it, and yeah, stuff is more expensive here as compared to the US.

Okay, so you recommend the 750, but if not that, then WD or SanDisk is fine too, right? I guess I'll keep those two as backups and try to get the 750 then. Thank you!
