Recommended capture card ?

Hello,

 

I was interesting if you guys have any suggestions on what capture cards are the best for streaming (1080p60)

 

I've seen the internal elgato hd60 pro and heard about avermedia... but don't really know anything else much

If you have a second PC you can stream using that via bridged Ethernet connections and nginx for free. Took me a day to figure it out but saved me money on an expensive capture card and now I can stream VR without hassles. If your looking to record from a console then this won't work though.

Here's the link to my help topic and a good video on it. It works Amazingly well considering it doesn't cost a dime (if you have 2 pcs) also video says you need a PC with two Ethernet ports but I used wireless to connect to router which for me works flawlessly with minimal latency loss. Obviously not as good as a wired connection though..

Thanks for the replies. What's so different between the avermedia one and the epiphan one ? Besides the price I mean which seems a pretty big difference.

Hey, thanks for the videos. I've watched some AVIO videos and it looks promising! But I can't really understand how it captures footage from the PC I play on and then feed it back to stream of it ? 

Simply plug it in an HDMI port and then a USB port ? Or do I need to play from one PC and stream from another ?

If you takes Linus's example, Luke and Linus both have a laptop on the desk that they use to look at things while doing the WAN show and then have the actual streaming computer. They use the AVIO capture cards to take their laptops and allow it to be fed into the streaming PC which is then configured on xsplit and broadcast to twitch.
