Check out "Barnacules Nerdgasm." He has a fantastic tutorial and advice on streaming as well as recording. He talks about bitrate at some point.

Go for the following settings

Keyinterval: 2
Preset: Veryfast

Use: CBR
Profile: high
720p 60fps - Do downscaling on the GPU!!!!!! as your CPU is dont have multithreading and will DIE if doing downscaling on the CPU
6000kbit bitrate (yes twitch now allows 6000kbit)

That's it

How do I do downscale using the GPU on obs studio settings?

Doing downscaling in the "VIDEO" tab is GPU... and in the "OUTPUT" tab is CPU... Only select in the "video" tab...

btw.. If you can't handle 6000Kbit birate... then do 3500
