Wow, my experience was the guy told me if I upgraded from 8 to 8.1 I would have to buy a new key... Told him no, just no, and then bye.

To be fair, Joel is probably adequate to answer the questions for people that actually go to Microsoft for Windows support anyway. 

 

e.g. what time is it, does windows support battletoads, how do i turn my PC off etc.

Microsoft support tried to get me to re-install Windows 8 because I couldn't download apps from the Windows 8 store, it turned out that I just had a folder missing.
