It's hard to check. Keyboards are usually sealed up pretty well. Even if you do get in water damage may not be apparent. Depending on how much you spilt it could look like obvious corosion or not. Regardless a short circuit caused by water could have fried some switches or some of the hard ware. How long ago did you spill water on it? If it was recent you may be able to dry it out but by the sounds of it the damage has already been done. Is the keyboard splash resistant? I know mine is so if yous is you may be able to get a warranty.
