Where did you hear this? I don't usually believe that kind of statement from anyone but a reviewer, because a manufacturer would have to fuck up bad in order to have that happen.

Some reviews on amazon.

Probably only 2 or 3 people that happened to get a faulty card. That said I have heard from a bunch of people that ASUS's customer service isn't the best.

But I don't see a reason not to get it honestly. The chances are low

Just curious how would 2 rx 460s perform against a rx 470 or 480?

Not sure, but don't do 2 460s, crossfire is only worth it on very powerful cards

Wondering about this card https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814126135 I heard that it can crash under a sort of heavy load so I wanted to check with the forums first because the sales ends in 9 hours.

It's a good card. Get it.

But rx 480 4gb is not...

It is because it has less memory.

The less memory doesn't mean less performance except in very isolated cases.

Most of the performance difference between the 480 8GB and the 4GB comes from memory speed, not size (have tested with an 8GB 480)

So a 1080ti is a gimped version of titan x too?

No not in that way. The RX 480 4GB has got 4GB less than the 8GB, the 1080Ti has 1GB less which I wouldn't class as gimped.
