Unknown problem

I had tried to set my ram to 2800mhz from 2133mhz, and my CPU temps rose to 80c so  I had to set the speed back to normal. same thing for my GPU( GTX EVGA 980ti SC) and they rose to 80c. Whenever I do this my PC would turn off and on. Eventually it would turn on. Any idea what can be wrong with my setup ? Thank you.
