I have a ZyXEL NBG-418N v2 router which keeps dropping the internet connection every 1.5 hours or so and I have no idea what's causing it. The internet is fine without the router but I have no wifi without it.

What I've tried so far:

- Increase DHCP Lease time

- Setting static IP

- Factory reset

Any and all help is greatly appreciated...

Sounds like your router might be overheating

When routers overheat, as they are only passively cooled, not actively with a fan, they often throttle or sometimes even shut-down / stop transmitting to prevent overheating and possible damage

I don't believe it's overheating since it's not hot to the touch, and even after having it turned off for a couple hours it still does the same thing...

Also the internet connection comes back after like 10-15 seconds usually.
