Hey guys, so last night I tried to host a server for a game called 'Contagion' from Steam and some quick googling got me the ports 27015-27020. I port forwarded as I usually do when I host a server for something, but this time it failed and after triple checking everything, I still have no idea why.

Here are my settings:

The failed port test:

My IPv4 address:

My router settings:

So as you can see the IP for 'Contagion' is the same from the ipconfig command. Also, I am using the correct port range format because the port range for 'Unturned' passes the port test with the following picture.

My Windows Firewall rules:

Outbound Rules::

I'm also pretty certain that I am following the correct format for port ranges with the Firewall rules as I just copied the format from below the text boxes.

The router and modem have both been restarted as has my computer.

According to this and my prior experiences with port forwarding for my other computer this should work. But it doesn't and I am just not seeing why.

Any help will be appreciated and I will provide any other information.

As a quick test, what happens if you disable the firewall completely and run a port test. That could at least help narrow it down.

I figured it out. I was trying to port forward 77015:27020 but I had already port forwarded 27015 to another computer, so I was confusing the router. I am a moron.

It happens :)

I've accidentally configured a firewall to incorrectly NAT outbound traffic of a subnet that didn't exist and spent a good 30 minutes trying to figure out why nothing was getting out when I had just fat fingered the rules.
