RAM issue

i have a 2GB RAM of 1333Mhz. If i add 4GB of corsair 1333Mhz memory into other slot to it. will it work just fine? means will it give me a 6GB all total memory? please help. im stuck

yes It will

But make sure it's the same brand (and type, say for example you currently have Corsair Vengeance, You have to get that type.)

well thats the problem because the 2GB ram which was pre-installed its somthing weird company which i have never heard of. i will give the same speed. but brand is different.

It will affect(or effect I don't know grammar lol) it. You have to have the same brand/type

Now that hurts... :'( and if the speed is different do I need to manually set the speed of the ram?

I THINK you can do something that sync's the speed to equal and changes the voltage for you, watch this video (skip to 1:43)

I don't think that different brand will have prob with it.
