Hello guys!

Recently I have encounter some issue with my computer; while I was gaming and watching show in my dual-monitor setup. My monitor will be flickering for a seconds while I doing two task at the same time.

Sometimes my both monitor will freeze and I have to restart my computer. I suspect is my graphics card that is giving the issue but I can't confirm. Any idea?

What are your computer specs and how old is the GPU?

Monitor 1 : Acer H2260HQL 21.5 inch (1920x1080)

Monitor 2: Philips 17 inch (1280 x 1024)

I have the intention to upgrade my second monitor to 27 inch monitor in the near future.

I don't think it can handle both of them when it is under full load.

But I don't have this issue when I use this for over for a while. This issue started to occur recently. Therefore do I upgrade my GPU in order to handle the load?

You only face this issue when playing games on one monitor right?

One monitor playing and the other for watching shows. However, just now I experience the same issue (just doing simple web-browsing) when I only use one monitor and the one I left it idle.

Check the GPU's usage during your regular work and post the load %.

You can download and use MSI Afterburner. I think every GPU manufacturer provide software that includes GPU monitoring.

Here is the attachment when I used;

1st Picture - gaming and watching show on my dual PC setup.

2nd Picture - doing normal web-browsing and watching show using one monitor whereas the monitor is on idle.

The one you posted is GPU Temperature scroll the Graph to get GPU Usage.

I see; sorry I didn't know there is more function below that.

Here is the attachment below shown when I using dual PC (gaming + watching shows)

I also realised that once my load reaches close to 100%; both of screen will start to flickered. Seem like my graphics card doesn't able to handle such a load is it?

Just like I expected that GPU can't handle dual monitors of that high res. Just to confirm it unplug the 1280x1024 res monitor and do the daily work with just 1920x1080 monitor plugged in. Then post whether you noticed any problems or not.

Alright! I will do that and observe for a few days!

Sorry I very new to GPU stuff. May I know where can get more information about this?

As I intend to upgrade my GPU to handle my dual-setup which are 21.5 inch and 27 inch (replacing my 17 inch monitor) in the near future.

Well there isn't any specific place for just reading random tech articles and watching tech videos thats it. You will be able to estimate the right component or right troubleshooting on your own after reading and watching tech stuff as it gives you an idea about that and you will take care of the remaining part.
