Hi guys

i just got given a brand spanking new used HP Compaq DC7800 Ultra-slim desktop that ran in a university for i have no idea how long.

its got an Intel Core 2 DUO E6550 CPU with 2 x 1gb sicks of DDR2 SODIMM ram and it came with a 160gb HP 7200 2.5 drive.

my problem is i have no idea what i could use this for, i have a gaming PC and a home server and a tablet and an intel nuc so if anyone has any good ideas let me know.

im not apposed to upgrading the ram or cpu but for now not sure what to use it for.

Make it into a linux box to learn linux.

Use the case and build a totally amazing system in it so your friends are like "that is your PC? Its trash" then you open the side panel and show them a Z270, X99, or Ryzen 7 build with a 480 8GB or better lol.

If your main pc is good, switch the inner components. That would be funny

i have an x99 system and z170 but will not fit in it the case its in doesnt even have pcie slots lol its a business desktop

i also run linux on my intel nuc or in vm i was thinking of putting a different linux on it but still trying about what i can use it for lol
