need help with G430

I just recently bought a brand new pair of Logitech G430's which feature 7.1 surround sound. My motherboad is the asustek h81m-plus. which btw supports 7.1 surround sound. but i cant get it to work, i have updated the software for the headphones and the surround sound and the microphone both dont work.

did you check to make sure that you have both selected in control panel --> sound? are they checked as "default device"?
