Are there any cheap (sub $300 CAD even sub $200 CAD) server racks/cabinets out there? I am about to get a server from a friend plus I just got a network switch and stuff and would love to rack mount it all.

you can pick them up second hand from many places for under $100 if you are willing to ask around

When you live in the middle of nowhere there are not many options like that. The cheapest used ones I could find were around $400.

I found these two on Amazon. Do they look any good to you?

https://www.amazon.ca/Frame-Network-Server-Cabinet-Adjustable/dp/B01C0T95CW/

https://www.amazon.ca/StarTech-Adjustable-Levelers-Management-4POSTRACK25U/dp/B00O6GNLQE/

I am starting to get more into web hosting and whatnot so I want a lot of room for future upgrades. I am probably going to add three internet switches, a power bar or two, possibly a UPS, and possibly another server or my desktop computer.

I understood what you said the first time and I am saying that there is nowhere around where I live to even ask.

Sorry I wast meant to double post. Bit of a shame about that schools and medium to large business can be a good place to go. Often its better to go to a computer store that specialises in business application

Put this to another post a minute ago, but these are pretty good if space is a premium (I live in the UK, and per square inch, the land is worth a lot more than the rack, haha):

https://www.amazon.com/NavePoint-Vertical-Mountable-Server-Hardware/dp/B01M1GFVKD/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1489788495&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=4u+wall+rack&psc=1

For the switch, get a switch rack, they're cheap as hell and usually come in 4-12U, so there is room for expansion.

I could possibly go into the city and look around, although that is an hour away plus I don't know if there is much of anything like this out there.

Space is not that much in Canada :) Thanks for the suggestions but I don't really want to wall mount it. One of the reasons I would want a rack is so that it is easy to move around in the room as I need to access stuff.

I have searched them all and there is nothing within 200 km of me. I would need to drive 3 hours away in order to get a good server rack from under $300. For this reason I am leaning towards just buying one of the ones I linked above from Amazon.
