Driver Installation Error

Go to solution Solved by Willem D,

I solved the issue, I installed the drivers via device manager. This must have been an issue with Nvidia's installer, not the driver itself.

I keep getting this error when I try to install the new driver, I tried to install it with GeForce Experience and directly from the GeForce website, but I keep getting the same error. I've never had issues installing new drivers before until now

I'm using an Alienware 15 laptop, here are the specs:

CPU - i7 6700HQ @2.6ghz

RAM - 8gb

GPU - GTX 965M

GPU (With Alienware Graphics Amplifier) - GTX 980

Rollback to a previous known working driver.

Mobile drivers (800-900 series M GPUs) are terrible.

They simply suck ass and are buggy as hell at certain points.

Some work, some don't.

Some fail so spectacularly that you need to go into safe mode to fix it.

I would advise holding off the install until a new one appears that you can install safely.
