Posted March 14, 2017 If the mobo supports NVMe, go for M.2 NVMe SSD If you want better cable management, go for M.2 SATA SSD If not, go for 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Only go for M.2 SSD with NVMe. What are you using an ssd for? In most case you won't benefit from nvme. If m. 2 is same price or cheaper then get it as you won't have to deal with sata cables. If not regular 2.5" ssd would do fine.

Posted March 14, 2017 buy a 2.5" ssd if u only game...u will get a much better value. no need to clog up ur m.2 drive with m.2 sata ssd. when the price per gb of nvme drops and u really need the extra speed( which is very unlikely) buy a nvme
 Posted March 14, 2017 Well it depends on what you are doing, most motherboards now would support m.2 storage devices but if your just gaming I would just buy a SATA SSD if your just gaming you don't need m.2 speeds, the only reason you would need m.2 speeds if you were content creating. seeing how cheap m.2's have gotten I would still buy an SSD. hope this helps.
