Hi everyone, first time poster on this forum.  I having issues backing up my 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SDD to my 1TB WD Green HDD.  The windows back up gets about 80ish % complete then it just stops backing up and says the backup could not be complete.  What can I do to fix this issue?  Do I need to reformat my HDD?

Thanks,

~Dylan

Hey, and welcome to the forum!

I used this ; http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

I was the free version and it hasn't failed me yet, easy, intuitive and helpful,

I haven't had much luck with the inbuilt windows backup software, whatsoever, so I choose to use third-party apps.

Hope I've been of some help!

Don't format the drive until the data has been fully backed up or else you will lose data.

Enjoy those tacos now, for in 1000 years they will be illegal... eh Ha Ha Ha! I think we all know why.

Ok. The drive is fully backed up now. Here is my new question. I want to add another Samsung 840 pro. What steps do I need to take to put it in a raid 0 with my current 840 without loosing data? I only have 13 gb left on my ssd.
