make sure everything is mildly protected with paper towels or something absorbent which also help see the water and make sure you have a way to quickly turn off the system if a leak arises and just run the system with distilled water watch carefully for at least 20 minutes or so but longer never hurts and is probably better

when leak testing, do i use the distilled water mixed with the pastel color or do i leak test first with distilled water and then just pour the color into the reservoar? or how do i do?

I use use the fluid i normally use, Just make sure that there is no power to your system only to your pump and you'll be ok even if it leaks.  In the case of a leak just make sure you let everything dry for a good long time (like a week + for good measure).  Think It was on here a guy got into an accident with his pc's in the car and they were literally submerged in muddy water and the majority of the systems parts still worked after wards.

mount everything that will be liquid cooled and mount at least enough for it to post if you were to not then mounting after could cause a possible new leak to arise from moving everything around refitting things etc

okay :)

i dont need to plug in fans and such right? i only need to power the pump itself?

Just put everying together as intended. On fresh builds I start the pc like normal if it has enough fluid by that point. Then just get into windows and start benchmarking. That way its worse case scenario. Distilled water won't do anything if it leaks assuming it's fresh. Putting something down would make it easier to notice though. I don't as I feel it's a waste. Even mthough very first time making a custom  loop. I always add the color or inhibitor after. I normally leave room in the res for it.

It's gonna be the same as what's sold in the store and what you would use, yes. Not the exact same as what would come in it, but as close as you can get.

Can't read any of it so I couldn't say. Normally companies like alpha cool have premixed. Which could be diluted. Not sure how hard I try is to get distilled water where you are at. Pharmacies or decent grocery stores tend to have it. 89¢ for a gallon here.

If the ocool has something in it, companies say not to mix it with thier coolant. Just FYI. Never had any issue myself though.

the alphacool says something like "very clean distilled water without any additives, up to 100 times less filth than in regular distilled water thanks to a 5 step filter technique" and the other just says "destilled water"
